Lancashire Climate Action Forum hosted in Lancaster District in 2026

Lancaster District, is a place already rich in grassroots climate activity, and this forum celebrated the power of place-based action.  This was the third Lancashire Climate Action Network (LancsCAN) Forum.

Communities know their areas best, and they are key to driving the changes needed at a local level to adapt to our changing climate: transforming neighbourhoods, inspiring behaviour change, and building resilience from the ground up.

This year's forum aimed to:

  • Celebrate the diversity of local action and the people and organisations leading it
  • Share knowledge, projects, and partnerships to inspire wider impact
  • Support communities to scale up efforts with practical tools, advice and collaboration
  • Champion place-based approaches that put people and their environment at the centre of climate solutions

Together, we’re not just tackling the climate emergency — we’re co-creating a thriving, sustainable Lancashire together not just for today but for future generations. By connecting across the county, we can maintain momentum, strengthen our collective voice, and ensure that climate action is shaped by and for the people who live here.
