Eden Project Morecambe Privacy Notice
We are collecting information in relation to community projects led by Lancaster City Council which are managed in partnership with Eden Project Morecambe. We want to be able to connect with Residents who are interested in contributing at community events, being a part of any consultations or wish to keep in touch via newsletters distributed via electronic means.
We are committed to protecting your privacy, and this statement is made in light of the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation 2016 and the Data Protection Act 2018 in order to advise you how we use your personal information.
When do we collect personal information?
We collect information from you when you fill in our forms, which will be distributed at events or via our website or email.
What personal information do we collect?
If consent is granted by you, we will collect basic personal information which includes your name and email address, and your postcode (optional)
How do we use your personal information?
We use your personal information to Contact residents who want to know more about specific Community Projects as they progress, this may include:
- Community Conversations
- To enable signing-up for newsletters for specific Community Projects
- Invites to Community led design workshops
- City Council analysis of geographical data
We will not use your data for marketing purposes or pass on details to any parties outside of the project partners. Data will be kept for the duration of the project, which is due to end in 2028.
Do we share your information with anyone else?
We work with partners in order that we may deliver the Eden Project Morecambe in the most informed way possible. These partners are:
- Eden Project Morecambe Ltd
- Lancaster University
- Lancashire County Council
As the main partners in the project, they may wish to engage and inform you of any potential events wholly associated with Eden Project Morecambe that they are leading on.
Your details may be passed to these partners to assist us with the running of this project.
We will not share your information with any other organisations unless required to do so by law.
