Comment on planning applications
Publicity of planning applications
Most planning applications are subject to publicity. Neighbours adjacent to the application site will be notified of the proposal in a letter. In many cases a site notice will also be displayed in the vicinity of the site. We have a statutory duty to advertise some types of applications in the local press (Lancaster Guardian). If you have not received a neighbour notification letter there is no need to request a letter from us. You are still entitled to submit written representations.
We also undertake consultations with recognised bodies and outside agencies as appropriate to the proposal.
