What bins and boxes should I have?
Household bin allocation (2023 onwards)
The type of bins we issue to new properties has changed.
- Grey lid - for non-reyclable waste
- Red lid – for mixed recyclables, cans, plastics, glass
- Yellow lid – for paper and cardboard
If your property is subscribed to the garden waste collection service, you should also have at least one wheeled bin with a green lid.
Property not suitable for wheeled bins?
Residents who live in terraced properties and receive recycling collections from the front of their property are only able to order recycling wheelie bins if they are able to move the bins to the front of their property on collection day.
If your property is not suitable for wheelie bins for non-recyclable waste will be issued with orange sacks recycling boxes for your sorted recyclable waste.
