Flood risk

The Environment Agency has published maps indicating those sites which have been identified as flood risk zones now and in the future. The Councils Strategic Flood Risk Assessment also identifies flood risk from various sources. Any development in flood risk zones must be appropriately flood resilient and resistant, be safe for its users for the development’s lifetime, and not increase flood risk overall. All forms of flood risk must be assessed, avoided, managed and mitigated against.
